in july 2023, sohar freezone and nasim chemicals announced a usd 10.4 million investment to build a dioctyl phthalate (DOP) and dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) plant. the facility, set to begin construction by the end of the year, will span 5,000 m² with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons.
