the amount depends on the chemical structure of the additive and of the plastic polymer. phenolic antioxidants are used in low amounts and phosphites in high. lowest amounts in polyolefins (lldpe, hdpe), higher in hips and abs. heat stabilisers: 0.5–3: cadmium and lead compounds; nonylphenol (barium and calcium salts). mainly used in pvc.
