dioctyl adipate (doa) is most often used as a pvc plasticizer. it imparts good low temperature flexibility, good heat stability, weathering properties, and good electrical properties. it is also compatible with nitrocellulose, ethylcellulose, high-butyryl cellulose acetate butyrate, and many synthetic rubbers. doa is also commonly used with primary plasticizers, like dop, to create lubricant.
